Your WDRA at NMD questions answered...

Who from NMD will be eligible to attend the Summit Race of Champions in Montgomery, Alabama October 25-27?
Bracket I Champion, Bracket II Champion, Sportsman Champion, Advanced Junior Champion & Rider Class Champion. If the champion is not a licensed WDRA member, it will pass to the highest points finisher who is.

Who from NMD will be eligible to compete at the Northern Bracket Finals at Mid Michigan Motorplex September 19-21?
NMD’s team will consist of the top WDRA licensed members in each class: 10 from Bracket I, 25 from Bracket II, 8 from Sportsman Class, 5 Advanced Juniors, 1 Mini Junior, 1 Rider Class.

Do I have to have a WDRA license to compete at NMD?
Nope! You are eligible to participate in NMD’s points program as always, with or without WDRA membership.

What does it cost to be a licensed WDRA member?
$110/year adult license or $80/year junior license. There are options for 2 or 3 year membership and additional class pricing.

How do I obtain a WDRA license?
You can complete the online application at: https://www.racewdra.com/license/ OR you can do so in person with a paper application at any of our early season test & tunes.

When should I complete the WDRA licensure by?
We recommend you do so before our first points race on May 3rd! You can sign up until July 1st, however your “championship eligible” points do not count prior to the date of sign-up.

Do I need a WDRA Chassis Certification?
Yes, if running 6.00 or quicker 1/8th mile ET. Certifications are valid for three years. NMD will host Dustin Teter for certifications on Saturday, April 26th. Cost will be approximately $160.
